Narrative AI ("Narrative", "we", "us") builds software that helps sales teams master the grunt work around selling — research, prep, drafting, and CRM admin — with a human always in the loop. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our web application, our Chrome extension, and our integrations. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, work email, company, and authentication data (passwords are stored only as salted hashes; optional multi-factor secrets).
  • Sales and prospect data you work with — the business contact and account information you enter, import from your CRM, or research (such as names, job titles, business email addresses, phone numbers, employer, and LinkedIn profile URLs). This is B2B professional data used to do your job.
  • Integration data — when you connect Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Outlook, or LinkedIn, we access and, where you direct us, write records in those systems on your behalf via authorized OAuth connections.
  • Call content — when you explicitly enable call recording, we process the recording and transcript to produce summaries and CRM updates.
  • Product usage — limited analytics about how the product is used, to improve reliability and features.
  • Technical data — standard log data (IP address, device/browser type, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.

The Chrome extension

The Narrative extension shows contextually relevant research in a side panel while you work. Specifically:

  • It reads the page you are actively viewing on supported prospecting sites (LinkedIn, HubSpot, Salesforce) to identify the prospect or account and surface matching research. The side panel opens only in response to an explicit action (toolbar click, keyboard shortcut, or context-menu item) — never automatically.
  • It authenticates by reading your existing Narrative web-app session cookie. The extension has no separate login and does not collect your credentials.
  • It does not track your browsing across other websites, and it does not read pages outside the supported sites for any purpose other than the one described above.

Our use of information received from Google APIs, and any information obtained through the extension, adheres to the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements, including the limitations on transferring, using, and selling that data.

How we use information

  • To provide the service — research, drafting assistance, CRM syncing, and the workflows you initiate.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the product.
  • To communicate with you about your account and support requests.

Every automated action keeps a human in the loop — for example, emails are sent only when you click send. We do not use your data to make consequential decisions without your involvement.

We do not sell your data

Narrative does not sell your personal information or the data you work with, and does not share it for advertising. We do not use your content to train third-party foundation models for others' benefit.

Service providers

We share data only with vendors that process it on our behalf to deliver the service, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. These include cloud hosting and database providers, AI/large-language-model providers used to generate research and drafts, data-enrichment providers, a product-analytics provider, and (only where you enable it) a call-recording/transcription provider. We share the minimum necessary for each provider's function.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete records within the product, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Security

We protect data in transit and at rest with industry-standard encryption, scope access to your own organization, and follow the principle of least privilege for integrations and internal access.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to disconnect any integration at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@getnarrativeai.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
